I am a Ph.D. research student as part of the Centre for Satellite Engineering
Research at Surrey Space Centre
at the University of Surrey.
I am working on the application of Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART) artificial
neural networks to automatic target recognition of satellite remote
sensing images.
I have prepared a review paper
and extended abstract
for the EUFIT'99 conference in September at Aachen, Germany. It is entitled
"Automatic Target Recognition of Synthetic Aperture Radar Images Using
ART Neural Networks". A copy of my transfer
report will also be available, which introduces artificial
neural networks; reviews in-depth the field of ART; details experimental
work carried out and its results, and outlines future work, when the
transfer is complete.
I'll shortly add more content here as I was awarded a Ph.D. in July
2003
